Play the Fool is a fresh, sophisticated brunch restaurant located in Victoria on the picturesque Mornington Peninsula. The stunning 50 seat restaurant is architecturally designed and lined floor to ceiling in Tasmanian Oak flooring boards, which are complemented perfectly by the plush cushion lined bench seat down the side of the space. Locally in Footscray, Profile delicately roast our beans to perfection, and provide us with a simple, yet knockout coffee blend, perfect as a Latte or Long Black. The menu reflects that of a daytime winery if we may, hugely encouraging the use of seasonal and local produce. With specialty growers just 15 minutes away in Red Hill, we are able to produce the highest quality dishes with the best produce in town. This is far from your typical Melbourne brunch spot serving dishes such as Jerusalem Artichoke Fritters with Black Garlic, Pickled Cabbage & Smoky Bacon, or perhaps you'd opt for the Slow Cooked Pork Belly with Burnt Butter Hollandaise, Poached Eggs, Pork Crumb & Nasturtium.

LAUREN EAGLE - OWNER/FOH
At just 22 years of age, Play the Fool is Lauren's first solo venture in the hospitality industry. After briefly studying Architecture in 2013, Lauren quickly realized it wasn't for her at that point in time and found work in the hospitality industry. Quickly falling in love with the rush you experience in hospitality, Lauren gained 2 years of management experience and decided she was ready to start something of her own. Incorporating both her love for design/architecture into Play the Fool, it was the perfect beginning for Lauren. Always looking for a challenge, there is no doubt Lauren has big plans ahead with Play the Fool being the perfect stepping stone.
